Each year the Houston Bar Association organizes student contests with a theme relating directly to social justice. This years theme: "Toward a More Perfect Union, The Constitution in Times of Change"
Our amazing visual artists have taken 3rd place as well as 3 Honorable Mentions!
Photography students only had a few short weeks to research and identify personal connections to instances of social injustice, determine how they were going to talk about these complex topics using only a single still image, and coordinate photo shoots in meaningful locations with models and props. I am so proud of not only our winning participants but all of our students who entered!
All winning photographs are embedded below, published to the Houston Bar Association's website
Daisy Espinoza - 3rd Place
Alexandra Diaz - Honorable Mention
Darius Robinson - Honorable Mention
Mariana Vasquez - Honorable Mention
