Art Strand AP Field Trip 17-18

AP students visited Lawndale Art Center, Center for Contemporary Craft, and the O'Kane Gallery at UH Downtown. At each location, students drew a work of art and wrote reflections about the formal elements and principles used, as well as the artists' intent with each piece or series.

Students saw conceptual contemporary sculpture and installation work and surreal graphite drawings at Lawndale. At CCC, they talked with working resident artists, saw modern textile work, and hand-painted signage.
